it’s so scary seeing women becoming sahms. unless you come from a rich family you’re literally gambling with your life AND your children’s lives

My husband signed a contract where a certain percentage of his paycheck goes into a high-yield savings account that he can’t access 😭

even if you get a degree what good is it going to be if you don’t do anything with it for however many years you’re home? it’s def better to have a degree than not have one, but if you have no experience/you’re not working in your field that’s going to make eventually trying to use it 1000% harder

i personally still wouldn’t take that risk. if you think differently tho it’s your life. you’re the one that has to live with the consequences

it’s still HIS money. yes it’s in your savings account but if he can’t work anymore or if he wants a divorce or literally anything else that cuts off that income you’re screwed. idk i really don’t see the benefit in being 100% financially dependent on your partner. it really only works in situations where everything works out all the time and just hoping things will stay fine is never a good plan for the future

ohh okay that makes sense. again i don’t see the benefit in being 100% financially dependent on someone else. to each their own but id rather have the security of making my own money. in general not being financially independent is a very risky position to be in
