It’s normal to miss. Every relationship has its good parts and bad parts. I find that in the past when I’ve grieved my partner I only focused on all the good memories. It’s important to ground yourself. Sometimes we long for chaos because it’s all we’ve known, even though we don’t realize it. It’s hard to break the cycle but it’s worth it. I promise you. I went from being beat and screamed at by a man I thought I would marry to being with a man who’s never even so much as raised his voice to me.
It’s just hard bc ik how much he loves me. This man has begged on his knees in tears for me to give him another chance. But I also remember how many times I’ve cried bc of things he said to me. I hit my breaking point earlier this week while I’ve been away on a trip so it was over text. He’s lowkey tryna talk to me via songs from insta notes 😭😭 posting my favorite song, then I posted a song I was listening to and he posted another song by the band with kinda a message to it.
There is better out there. They might not show up when you want them to or hell even when you feel you really need them to. But it will come. We must learn to love ourselves enough to want the best for ourselves. You can carry love and care for someone while also recognizing they aren’t good for you. Don’t waste your life on people who can’t care about you. And I mean the word CARE. But you also have to care about yourself
