as a lifeguard and former swimmer i salute you, everyone always forgets how hard it is to swim 😭😭 (myself included)

this is making me remember having to prove i can swim and tread water to the lifeguards at the pool before being allowed to go in the deep end as a kid. usually we’d do it when we got there every time but eventually they all would recognize me and let me go without doing it
