maybe i’m just a hater but i really don’t think there are women out there who would genuinely enjoy being a legitimate tradwife… and i could be projecting but there’s no way most of them aren’t miserable and exhausted as hell.

i think the rise in tradwives is partly misogyny + downplaying the difficulties of motherhood and largely capitalism making it so unbearable to work. it becomes easier to think “oh i’ll just never work and i’ll wear pretty dresses and cook” meanwhile ur husband is off at 5 and ur working around the clock

these people who promote “traditional marriage” don’t experience it like the people they are promoting it to. normal working class people do not have the money to afford help on a farm, nannies, etc! not to mention looking glamorous doing it.

Being a tradwife sounds boring asf. Give me a high rise, a good paying job, a flexible schedule to travel and I think I’d be happy asf. Making my whole purpose taking care of a man that probably won’t like me after the first 5 years and children sounds terrible rn but maybe I’ll change.

I’ll be a trad wife if my man lets me peg him.

yes!!! their idea of traditional marriage is not traditional at all! homesteading before industrial revolution is entirely different from being a homemaker in the 50s! especially if you come from money!

i haven’t! but it sounds interesting. it brings me back to why the underlying issue is capitalism bc being a tradwife to not have to work only turns out that way if you have the money to not have to work
