guys i need help, ive been on birth control for 6 years. and ive had an IUD for the last 4 and a year ago i got a 6cm cyst on my ovary and i think i have another one. im thinking about going off and my bf respects whatever decision i make but should i?

I was on depo and the exact same thing happened to me. I'm getting my IUD in September though. I can't tell you what to do but I suggest speaking with a specialized OBGYN before making a decision.

look into a different birth control type with ur doctor that has less cyst forming chances. unless u feel comfortable only relying on condoms for the foreseeable future

yeah i’m looking into making an appointment literally when i had my surgery they were like the IUD can cause cysts i’m like uhhh you didn’t tell me that when i got it

yup. and mine was the size of an orange took up my whole ovary i had to get it removed before it burst

i personally wouldn't be able to continue having regular sex without more than condoms but that's my personal preference bc i never want kids
