Found out he cheated on me for YEARS after signing 15 month lease. My whole family loves him and I’m so humiliated. I moved out of state with him. Granted he moved too but now I’m trapped.

It just sucks because I restarted my whole life here. I just started working at a law firm and I’m supposed to be going to law school soon. Everything is fucked now. I have to stay in the area but it’s way too expensive alone.

I’d say start by going to the leasing office and seeing if anyone will sympathize with you or let you move into a different unit. They may be able to switch your room if you make it seem like there will definitely be problems later on between you and your “roommate,” and they won’t want to deal with it.
