this is why no man knows a rapist, they excuse their friends, say they’ve changed or we all got shame in our past, literally anything besides being the protectors they claim to be.

I don’t know what to even say to him like it’s his cousin yeah but why hang out with him willingly after that it makes me think about the past so much that I worked so hard to forget he calls him around me and calls me when there hanging out it’s just horrible

You have to protect yourself, the idea that a man has to protect you is antiquated, patriarchal, and pathetic. Hard to hear but you can’t expect all men to be arbiters of morality and who you date is literally your choice
