Typically methods that provide estrogen are best at treating PCOS, as they both stop ovulation (which decreases ovarian cyst development) and control androgen levels. The biggest benefit of any bc for PCOS treatment is cancer prevention, which is accomplished by controlling uterine lining thickening. Don’t be afraid to try bc! Some people also successfully manage PCOS with lifestyle adjustments, particularly diet. There’s less research in this area, but there are promising results!
