Some people don’t know how trauma works/ how it stays. I have a similar past and I think your current bf feelings is a waste of your time and healing process. I don’t think it’s your place to explain to him how trauma impacts others

If youre boyfriend really likes you he will eventually get over it. But, i definitely see where hes coming from. It doesnt feel good to be in a relationship where your partner isnt healed from their ex. If my man was triggered over their ex texting them id assume they clearly still have some sort of feeling towards their ex.

it’s so normal to be upset about an abusive ex abruptly reaching out, as the other person said it’s not your job to explain to him how trauma effects people. how long have you and your current bf been together?

What do I do?? Like my bf is mad mad. Bc I am/was upset over another guy. But my ex literally traumatized me and gave me ptsd. And my bf is saying I’m not over him bc of my reaction and it’s not normal. But I don’t want my ex??

I agree but also, it’s understandable why hes feeling these emotions. Id say explain and work it out and if he is still being weird about it leave him.

yes! especially if your bf has never been in an abusive/toxic relationship and dealt with the aftermath, he might not understand what you’re feeling

Ah hell nah. His text was ok like u can work that out but asking to send pics after is insane. He doesnt respect you, bye leave him dont even respond to him or explain anything. U dont owe explanation to someone who sees u as lower than them.

If this is how he reacts to you having a negative reaction to someone who harmed you reaching out again, you should keep him at a distance if not break up because that’s a HUGE red flag for me
