Yeah but the rest of me is conventionally unattractive besides my hair so I kinda have to make up for it somehow :/ the type of guys I’m into are already extremely hard to find too so I need to try my best

im not saying dont learn to do makeup, if it makes u happy do it for sure! but i feel like intention is important when ur learning something, if u go into it with the intention of looking prettier so u can attract more guys who are ur type ur might end up feeling worse about urself if it doesnt work. Go into it with more of a "this is for me" mindset, like ur reason is more about u feeling good about u instead of "i wanna attract men who r my type"

I mostly do it for myself because I find it fun matching the makeup to whatever I’m wearing, but I still realize that makeup is usually seen as a necessity by men and it’s discouraging to feel like the only way I can find someone to date is if I’m always doing makeup which I don’t want to do every day
