also selfishly sucks because i do not use ai at all because i’m not an idiot and can write a 5 page paper about the civil rights era using jstor but i’m worried he’s gonna be suspicious if i DONT declare using it

That prof needs to be fired tbh. The point of writing classes is not to fully understand the topic you’re writing about, but to exercise your brain to be able to do research and write a cohesive paper on whatever topic, and to be able to spot reliable and unreliable sources. Allowing AI completely defeats the purpose of it.

if i were a prof i wouldn't say shit, just add a question at the end asking "did u use ai?" "what platform" and then mark down points for anyone who answered yes or lied
