TW: calories Hi yall! I am on a strict calorie deficit and I’m not losing. I’ve done this before and lost over 40 lbs so far but now it’s not working right now. I’m in the deficit for my proper weight. Anybody got any advice? DM is open

you might just be maintaining because of sodium, i’d recommend eating less sodium and just staying on track, sometimes weight just sticks at a certain weight for a little bit before a big drop, also make sure to sleep regularly and hormones can also keep weight up so make sure to relax and take care of yourself

Are you exercising? Im in a nutrition class currently and they went over how it gets harder to lose weight after already losing due to your body needing to use less calories! Its like our body works against us when we are losing weight

So, cut down on sodium and regulate a proper sleep schedule? I’ve been having formal fluctuations for sure honestly haha. Could def be contributing

yes that has helped me so much, the body likes consistency, just don’t push yourself too much, good luck!

try adding a few days of either body weight exercises or weighted exercises. cardio's great, but it's even better when you add strength training

Ok based off ur earlier reply, im not sure if walking is enough to lose weight! You may have to start doing more intense exercises. Again, im no kinesiologist or nutritionist or anything like that
