Some people donāt read the box because for the last step because they only use it for insertion for the first time. Or they asked a friend for help. Some people donāt have moms or their mom was absent when it came to feminine care. Sadly a lot of girls werenāt taught how to take care of their lady parts in general because of those reasons and because religion will prohibit open conversation because itās seen as dirty. Itās best to just have patience then judgement in these situations
When I put in my first tampon I wasnāt given out out the box because i borrowed from other people (my period loves pool parties) I didnāt get a box until years later when my mom got a bunch from work so I didnāt feel like I needed to read it. I didnāt know you couldnāt flush them until my family took a camping trip and my mom handed me a Walmart bag and said āput your tampons in this and hide it under the sinkā
My mom isnāt someone I go to for advice so I never asked her questions an would go based off of the things I would hear in passing. Like I said when someone doesnāt know something itās not because they purposely ignored information. Itās best to just kindly educate them. Especially considering that itās a well known fact girls arenāt properly educated on their own bodies
look man iāve used menstrual discs etc before. iām not beefing with period blood and i donāt think itās dirty in the way that shit is. BUT! it IS old blood and it IS coming out of your crotch why are we playing dumb here. nobody wants to look at someone elseās used period products thatās why people wrap used pads in the wrapper. and a pad can be rolled up so youāre not having to TOUCH the blood (which IS gross idc fight me). a tampon is literally a sponge.
no baby. itās not coming directly from your circulatory system. who told you that. itās not like a paper cut or a nose bleed. itās from the shedding of your uterine lining. it literally takes 3-7 days to process out of you and has pieces of your discarded uterine lining in it. it IS old. that doesnāt mean itās not natural or normal, but thatās why it smells different from fresh blood. idk why weāre playing dumb rn
I think youāre just not willing to have empathy for other women who may be uneducated and coming at them with an air of āyou must be stupidā doesnāt foster anything but shame. I deleted my previous reply because i thought i may have accidentally responded to a reply that wasnāt meant for me and quickly deleted. But I realized that I didnāt read reply wrong. I believe that you just arenāt meant to be a kind person. Not everyone can be. Maybe take a back seat next time
āmistreating the earthā makes no sense. according to you, the issue is with the pipes getting stopped up, not whether theyāre biodegradable or not. and also, if theyāre not biodegradable then WHY ARE WE USING THEM. this world loves to make things harder for women and then blame us instead of fixing the problem. ykw why donāt they find a damn solution instead
Wrong. Uterine lining is tissue, not blood. When the endometrium sheds, the blood vessels that fed it are exposed. THAT is where the blood is coming from. Itās fresh blood. The reason periods last days is because the endometrium sheds in pieces, slowly exposing different blood vessels. We would be risking sepsis if the blood was taking days to make its way out after existing the circulatory system.
I wasnāt told to read a box because I didnāt have a box until after I learned to insert a tampon. But once I learned you canāt flush them I havenāt. I was just making a comment saying that people always go āomg are you dumb how do you not know this?ā When thereās a lot of reasons why someone may be uneducated
youāre not gonna believe this: itās all mixed together. your period actually doesnāt separate the lining from the blood. i want you to try something cool: Google. literally what do you think the brown blood is at the end of your period? š that is not fresh. idk why youāre dying on the hill of periods being all sunshine and daisies. period blood can be gross and it doesnāt have to mean that having a period is gross or unnatural.
