wait girlll this is insaneeee im just getting into this… i literally saw her come up on my feed around the time wizard liz stuff went down (last week) like the decentering men stuff and i was like oh ok she’s kinda well versed in feminist theory UNTIL i saw how she was talking about ceciliaregina275 and now her recent posts… her intersectionality is not simply nowhere to be found, but practically torn to shreds and set on fire in front of our faces. turned out to be an anti-immigrant terf bitch

and now that i think about it “the feminist theory” was a stretch bc i was just corroborating what she was saying with what i’ve learned before, but like ms girl was stealing from WOC creators… i dunno i honestly always take what white creators say with a grain of salt bc they often miss the mark or avoid the mark entirely when it comes to inclusivity

Okay idk if I have an unpopular opinion about this but her and Cecilia Regina’s content, I think, is turning women into incels. Like I haven’t seen anything about flawed villain until she already got exposed for the racist stuff, so obviously I never liked her. But I’ve been seeing Cecilia Regina videos for months and I have to say I don’t really agree with how she approaches her content. She definitely has more of a misandry take than a feminist one imo.

Now don’t get me wrong. I am not a “men are the victim” “misandry is just as bad as misogyny” type of girl. But I think this content is actually harming young women JUST like how incel content harms young men. Women are being taught that men are evil and they can’t change and basically wanting to be in love with a man means you’re not a feminist or you’re not decentering men enough.

I just think it’s dangerous to teach vulnerable young women that there isn’t a single good man out there when there IS. And love is real and powerful and wonderful and it can truly change people. I believe this kind of content is ruining the minds of young women and it’s scary to me.

Same with like “sprinkle sprinkle” and stuff. Like that might work for some women who have already been through it and have given up on love. But to try to make it seem like no man is capable of love and young women shouldn’t try to find that is so sad. Men are just as capable of love as women and we should definitely be trying to change how we raise and teach our men and boys and not just closing them out of our lives.

oh i 100% agree with you actually, im totally on board. please don’t get me wrong as well bc i think the “divine feminity” mentality content actually does more harm than good, bc like you said it instills unrealistic standards for younger women, that we’re “a prize to be won”, and in spite of it having some positive effects on self esteem, it’s overall counterintuitive bc we’re still treating ourselves as an object and leaving us vulnerable to manipulative men who will take advantage of that

i believe real love exists and i believe good men exist bc i know and have seen it. there’s no such thing as the perfect man, nor the perfect woman, but the intention of being a good human being exists. i’m not excusing bad behaviors, but it’s important to have a healthy mindset and recognize, accept, and grow from flaws. we can recognize the harms of the patriarchy and toxic masculinity whilst not demonizing and isolating men entirely.

Girl I’m so glad we agree!! We are all human!!! And we should treat each other and ourselves like humans. And yes it’s okay to be cautious when dating and understand misogyny when you see it but swearing off men is just not the way to go and those videos definitelyyy lean that way. I just think we need to start catching women going down this weird “feminism” secretly incel pipeline that has sadly gained popularity recently.

me too it’s so refreshing to have a healthy discussion about this! and i have to remind myself that at the end of the day these types of creators shouldn’t replace actual feminist activists (who aren’t racist terfs). it’s not empowerment to feed into traditional feminine or “girlboss” stereotypes.
