Guilt has been such an issue for me mentally all my life and the most helpful thing for me has been to reframe guilt into gratitude. If i get invited to something and i decline, i feel the urge to say guilty for saying no but i can reframe it to feeling gratitude that they invited me and that i chose the option that protects my needs best

i just try not to think about it too much and take it as face value 🫪🙏 so like if i said no to hanging out with my mom for example, like i already said no ☝️🫪 so no matter what i do now, that no wont change regardless of how guilty i feel ✋🫪 so i just try and let the feeling pass cause im allowed to say no just like anyone else 🫪🤌

Yes this too, and going back on a no makes communication worse for both of you and sets the precedent to the other person that your boundaries are flexible if you feel anxious about them
