I wish the word “situationship” would die. You are either dating or friends with benefits or being used. Call it what it is

I’ve always used situationship to describe the friendship between two single people that’s extremely flirty and kinda “will they won’t they”. I only recently found out that people are hooking up w their so-called situationships lmfao

Dating has become too serious bc so many ppl are dating to marry/life commitment, it’s supposed to be casual getting to know someone and testing out compatibility. You can have quick flings yall it’s ok!

i actually disagree with this, I think we should treat relationships as a spectrum instead of some category system. sometimes it is simply just true that we get put in a weird awkward grey area

If you like a guy and he only wants to fuck that’s not a grey area that’s called being used

this. my initial interpretation like a couple years ago was that it's the "will they won't they" thing. now it's used for like... anything that isn't specifically dating or fwb? nah let's make it cute and harmless again and start calling spades spades

clearly you have never been in the situation im talking about. these things are not one or the other and sometimes a relationshii just doesnt fit in a category

Hun I’m sorry but if you’re not pursuing the emotional connection you’re just friends maybe special friends

Nah I know what you’re talking abt. Def more common between queer people, but I’ve had them w both. It’s not a situationship tho bcos situationship implies that one wants more and the other is just dragging them along. Homoerotic friends are completely comfy as-is (idk what it’s called when it’s straight lmao)
