I’m fucking sick of mechanics trying to overprice me cause I’m a girl… A girl who’s worked on engines since she was six and doesn’t have her tools to do the repairs herself. Some asshat tried to charge me 1.6K for a break replacement. Do I look dumb?

And if you say it’s because of the parts are expensive, I want pads, my rotors are fine, the pads are 49.99 a set. So that’s max 200 for for ceramics pads. Your labor is not worth 1.4K. I could change 4 tires in 1 hour by myself I have my tools from back home.

a lot of auto shops will do tool rentals if that’s what you’re looking for

this is why i’m so scared to get car stuff done without my dad. they always ask if i want add ons and stuff and i can’t tell if they’re trying to rob me or not😭
