honestly i don’t even think it’s the end of the world if i have to spend extra time in school. yeah it’s humiliating to my hometown friends who are graduating on time but if i’m gonna change schools i want to be at that school for long enough to get what i want out of it

i just NEED my dream career and the major i actually want. instead of the school and major i was trapped in. i feel like i can’t get a job from my current school

That’s how I felt like especially if you transfer like it’s not that big of a deal. It is a little harder to make friends but I made friends with other 5th years so it ended up working out. You’d be surprised how many people have to do a 5th year

If you feel like the school you want to go to will advance your career more I say there’s no harm in at least applying.

it’s just so embarrassing that i failed that hard and couldn’t even manage to get a simple degree that everyone can do easily

Don’t look at it as failing. I was doing forensic anthropology at my old school and once we started working with real bodies I couldn’t handle it and now im going into pr. Your path is not linear and it won’t look the same as everyone else’s you need to do what you have to to succeed

I get you I felt the same way but it really helps when you’re doing something you’re good at and you’re passionate at so you have something to look forward to. You haven’t ruined your life this is such a small portion of your life you’re not even a quarter of the way through. I say it can’t hurt to at least apply and meet with an admissions counselor and then make a decision from there
