i work 40 hrs a week retail at the register at a verrry customer service oriented store and it’s genuinely the most draining thing in the world vs the 10 hr days physical labor job i had in high school. like ppl don’t get how being in customer service mode 24/7 sucks the LIFE out of you

As somebody who was a cashier in high school, but now works in produce (at the same store) it may not seem like it, but working in produce is such a physically laborious job it’s insane. I’m lifting a lot of 50 pound boxes, plus taking almost 20,000 steps a day. But I would take doing that shit over being a fucking cashier ANY day. Fuck being a cashier man that job is actually so hard and people who never did it just don’t understand.
