some of it, they don’t know it’s aave and think it’s just “gen z slang”, some of it, online blackface. i’ve seen a lot of video essayists refer to it as modern minstrelsy (especially when quoting or using gifs of black people all the time for comedic effect) and i agree. whether we realize it or not
