birth control sounds so appealing but i don’t want to deal with hormones or possible heavy insane periods and pain

There are non hormonal but also if you want to try pills there’s no guarantee that you have insane periods/pain, and if you do then you can always stop taking it! Birth control was the best decision I’ve ever made even tho I was terrified of the negative side effects. Sometimes you gotta jump around to find what’s best

It’s different for everyone, but personally it helps lighten my period a lot and have less painful cramps. It’s helped with my acne too. But again it’s different for everyone. If you like, talk to a doctor to know your options

You can always try a method, see how it goes, and just stop or switch if it’s not the right method for your body. Just give it at least 6 days after relying on it for protection (lifespan of sperm). I was terrified to start so I went with a method I could discontinue on my own if it went sideways (ring). The sooner so you start trying a method, the sooner you’ll find the right one for your body!

no ik, im referring to the non hormonal like iuds when i say insane periods/pain :/ ive heard horror stories

yeah i don’t have bad periods at all so i’d mainly use it for contraceptive purposes (acne would be a nice benefit tho)
