would it be crazy to get back on lexapro so i can be numb to the pain of rejection?

it would be kind of crazy imo bc if it’s a medication for a condition, you use it for that condition. if it’s just a part of being a person, like rejection, and you cannot personally handle that, you need to do some personal growth instead of relying on a crutch. it’s something you need to learn to deal with, full stop. it’s scary but you have to make the adult decision here

it’s not a crutch if it’s something that brings me mental distress. i was on lexapro for a while and i made me feel numb and i want that feeling again. i hate that i feel everything. i feel too much

rejection brings everyone mental distress. it’s 100% a crutch bc you’re using it to escape the reality you’re unable to face. you’re not a little kid anymore and you need to put on your big girl pants and learn to deal with the same shit everyone else does before you stunt your own emotional growth by running away scared from the learning opportunities you have

yeah but most people have some success that balances it out. i have only ever known rejection. its getting exhausting and im tired of feeling this way. i’m very depressed and i dont see the harm in taking medication
