I am SO SO anti large family my brother even really NEEDED braces like he was insecure about his teeth and he couldn’t smile correctly and he had to pay for it himself.

I have a cross bite, and it’s genuinely my biggest insecurity. And I’m an adult now but I don’t have the money for braces because of college but my sister is getting all of the treatments and braces and stuff and it pisses me off so bad. Like I understand priorities, but if I chew wrong or grind my teeth in a certain way it’s extremely uncomfortable

yes, actually! if your overbite is significant, your jaw muscles and the joint in your jaw have to essentially work overtime to do basic things like biting, chewing, etc. which causes strain to your cartilage disc resulting in popping. but i would 100% recommend talking to a professional and making sure that is the issue

yesss, so i would definitely try to get that checked out by an oral care professional if you’re able to and hopefully get it figured out!

an overbite is basically where your upper set of teeth overlap your bottom set of teeth. a healthy overbite is covers anywhere from 10-30% of your bottom teeth and anything more than that is considered as an excessive overbite

it does hurt sometimes because my teeth grind sometimes or if i chew it hurts too. but my parents can only afford braces for my younger sister and she has a lot of gaps in her teeth and an underbite
