i really wish people would be mature enough to understand that plus-sized people aren’t a monolith instead of kicking their heels every time they see one that feeds their conformation-bias

yeah that’s the issue with stereotypes… even if just one out of a hundred fits the stereotype, people will have the confirmation bias and think “all of this group of people are like that,” while ignoring the 99% who didn’t fit it 😭

Exactly, like the whole thing where people are plus size because of food, all because they see some plus-size people eat large amounts of food and then gain an excessive amount of weight, like no, it’s not like that for every plus-size person.
