I have hit my record low of people posting for my birthday this year, used to get more than 2 but now it was just my sister and my life long best friend. I know it might seem silly but it does kind of hurt

it’s ok and completely normal to feel hurt over that kinda thing. getting older in general comes w all those hard realities no one preps u for young when ur celebrating w all ur friends. but pls just don’t let it amount to the value your birthday still holds because girl that’s the day you were brought to this earth celebrate it!! don’t let the lack of response from ppl change that cause it could easily be ppl just getting caught up in their own lives yk?

I mean for my birthday this year I probably had my parents, siblings, my bf, and some friends say happy birthday to me. Since I was away at school and I didn’t really see anyone I bought myself wine and a cake to celebrate myself (I turned 21 this year)

Oh yes I definitely do! I still had a small celebration with other friends too the night before and had fun but nobody took pictures or anything so nobody posted yesterday my actual birthday. Im still so grateful for everyone that showed up for me in person, that counts way more than a post
