The whole debate about the Man’s Best Friend album cover is so weird to me…male artists/bands have made suggestive album covers for decades but Sabrina does it and now it’s suddenly a problem?
Here’s an example of a female artist having a suggestive album cover

not saying you’re wrong but is this suggestive or just nudity?

Suggestive nudity? I’ll be honest I pulled this from a Google search for “suggestive album covers”. There were plenty of other examples but I picked this one because Grace Jones was and still is a very popular artist and figured it was a good comparison with Sabrina’s.

mm that seems more like just neutral nudity imo like being suggestive is more about sexualization- like Sabrina is fully clothed in her album covers but you can tell the obvious sexual implications

plus i think the bigger problem people were sayin they had with it is it being objectifying in a way that caters to chauvinism but yes that also exists in previous album covers

Maybe Madonna’s is closer to suggestive? Like I said men have been doing this for decades so there’s more examples for them

I think the point is to be ironic, or at least point out the double standard that men are allowed to have these kind of album covers but if a women does it it’s “catering to chauvinism”.
