just found out my neighbor (he served in WW2 and vietnam) has prostate cancer with 3 months left to live. he’s genuinely the sweetest man i’ve ever met. this is genuinely so upsetting i’m heartbroken.

I hope that he has a great support system. My aunt passed from colon cancer last summer and it’s so meaningful to have people there

he does but his wife died last year so he has my dad and then some people he’s still close with but he’s at peace with his decision in not doing treatment. he’s ready to die and honestly that’s perfectly justified.

Oh most definitely. My uncle had died of Covid in 2022 and my aunt made a similar decision. Hoped he is supported and able to reunite with his wife 🩵
