i did a history project on the women of the American Revolution and this shit is so untrue there was a female paul revere who was a teen girl at the time i believe (confirmed in a newspaper around that time period), lots of female spies and that time, AND a woman who hid herself as a man to become a soldier (confirmed by a newspaper of that time period) like it was just so much more hidden bc men didn't want women to know they could be independent and strong
