you’re 100% right and lowkey i have never though of that. my guess is it’s probably the out of sight out of mind ignorance thing. like oh “i didn’t kill it myself so it’s fine” “whatever happens behind those doors, not my fault” you know

As long as you aren’t like tormenting the deer you’re right. I personally can’t kill an animal, idk I just can’t but I always say that it’s better than farms

and honestly in many cultures (north american indigenous cultures if i remember correctly, i think i saw an inuk woman talk abt it) it’s important so you understand the gravity of it and feel thankful for its sacrifice for you to live
