Does anyone know why SA is such a big thing in anime? almost half the anime romances i’ve seen i had to stop after seeing how they get. I know my friend told me 🍇 fetish is a wide spread thing in eastern culture but idk

before i got into anime i always wondered why SA / grape is normal in some manga’s. after getting into it i realized it’s really not (don’t get me wrong there’s a lot i saw) but there 2/3 of romance anime’s have some weird pervy male main lead.

honestly japan has a problem with groping, and other stuff (taking pics up girls skirts). the culture also places shame on women who report it so it’s very under reported too. in recent years japan has been working towards this. however it has influenced anime

my brother watches a bit of anime and says the last 10 years it’s gone down a lot. i hear it’s often in BL anime’s and when i THOUGHT i was just watching a cute romance anime he literally assaults the other guy. and the other guy forgives him after? i studied like 4-5 shows and the main leads are all the same. it’s sad tbh. i stopped watching serious story driven anime’s after aot bc i was really heart broken but ima go back now because some of these romance anime’s genuinely scare me

yeahhh it’s really weird and it makes me turn off a lot of anime or skip chunks of the show
