started watching Wednesday and I am starting to get really sick of the girlboss millennial writing of Wednesday herself. I get that’s her character but can someone tell me if she does any growth/if it gets worth watching? just finished ep 3 for context

For me I hate the way they deviated so far from the OG characters😭 like I won’t say too much but grandmama in season 2 is a whole diff person now, idk why they used the Addams Family IP when they could’ve just made it about an original goth girl/supernatural character

I barely made it through Season 1, but hear Season 2 is worse. I loved the costumes, but hated the Hogwarts/Twilight mashup.

SPOILER FOR EPISODE 3 like the fudge selling scene where she’s like “here is this product of the exploited for you to feast on” in this like annoying speech thing in German is where is started getting bad. like I get it, she’s not technically wrong and she’s just written as a self-righteous socially maladapted bitch, but does this ever get less painful to watch. she talks how masked millennials with a full time job of reposting political infographics with no sources on ig think they sound

They stay pretty consistent with her character throughout the show so tbh if you don’t like her this season it probably won’t get better 😪
