The kids in my middle school were pissed when pornhub got banned from the school wifi, so they just created their own porn and spread that around. Children r crazy and we’re never going to be able to prevent it; I feel like we need to focus on harm reduction more than anything else. (How to do that? I honestly have no idea. It’s so fuckin complicated 😭 can a child psychologist lmk)
That’s been the main criticism of this whole thing. There’s essentially no way to do effective age restriction without there being a massive infosec risk for people’s personal information. I don’t understand what the resistance is to just reminding people to parent and supervise their own children.
Oh I totally agree w age restrictions, to be clear. Especially to intense porn sites that have, like, everythingggg. I also think it’s great that YouTube and Instagram has cracked down on porn (my bff discovered porn at 4 years old on accident on YouTube, I discovered it on Instagram at 11). I also think harm reduction needs to be more emphasized. I feel like most kids who are sexually active it’s because they were abused. N regardless we need to be careful to not demonize their natural feelin
