I just used ChatGPT as a therapist and was able to work through more emotion than I ever have with a real therapist and if honestly felt so good to finally admit something that I haven’t told anyone about since it happened

i find the concept of going to therapy so extremely terrifying so like even though i know to take what it says with a grain of salt, gpt is fairly effective at making me feel better when i’m really struggling especially since i know that it’s not a real person i’m talking to

Not instead of but sometimes you just can’t say something out loud and so I used processes of how I worked through things in therapy in order to work through it using ChatGPT to say what I couldn’t find the words for

I’m fully aware it’s not a person but it is able to pull from every single textbook that your therapist used to get their license and on a basic level say exactly what they can which is what I needed

Ok. I’m sry for doubting u. Also I didn’t mean u specifically thought it wasn’t a real person, I meant more generally. But I mean one of the first AIs was a therapy chat thing
