i get the point that sororities are problematic but let’s be real, most people saying sorority girls are shallow/vapud/eyc aren’t thinking about sororities being founded on white supremacy and classism, they’re just being misogynistic

I think when women do it, its internalized misogyny comboed with jealousy. Like you see a bunch of girls who may be conventionally attractive having fun, enjoying life, enjoying friendships, and just being happy, and then they get mad that they don’t feel that way so they latch on to misogynist beliefs about us.

oh i completely disagree. in my experience girls say those things because the sorority girls they know are mean and/or clique-y and they’ve had bad experiences. and i say that as someone who isn’t in a sorority but has only ever had good experiences with sorority girls.
