imo israel should've never been created in the first place and the only reason it was was for the political gain of the allied powers 🤷‍♀️

Two state isn’t perfect but like it’s best for what’s right now.

Can’t lie, I read the second prompt wrong and would like to rescind my vote. I thought it said “yes but should be Palestine”

genuinely i think we need to stop asking this question. maybe it shouldn’t exist, maybe it should, but israel DOES exist so there’s no use going back and forth

Ppl who voted “yes but so should Palestine” are still very much Zionists btw

What about two state solution?

Anonymous replying to -> OP 1w

Yes that’s essentially what that answer translates to. A two state solution is very much Zionist bc it doesn’t seek to dismantle the settler colony and divides Palestinian land of which the Palestinians should have sovereignty over. Also Israel has literally made a two state solution nearly impossible with the West Bank settlements and the ethnic cleansing of Gaza

What if they just gave the land back they took from the 1940s and then it’s back to being even the un gave it?

Anonymous replying to -> OP 1w

No bc that’s still settler colonialism. Their land should have never been stolen

Anonymous replying to -> #2 1w

How would that even work?

upvote 2 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #1 1w

It wasn’t stolen, it was granted to each by the UN

Anonymous replying to -> OP 1w

No, it was a settler colonial project spearheaded by Herzl in the late 19th century/early 20th century. Britain legitimized it in 1917 along with the UN 30 years later after they stepped down

u might be getting downvoted but ur not lying. The two state solution will never work cause israel wont stop until all palestinians are gone and the land is fully theirs. If it hasn't worked for the years this conflict has been brewing for, that makes ppl think things will be different all of a sudden?

Literally most of the media and democratic politicians claim to support a two state solution and yet they’re still Zionist scum 😭 a two state solution is inherently violent. I think ppl are just uneducated on settler colonialism

The UN partition wasn’t just Britain rubber-stamping colonialism, it was an international decision after WWII to create two states side by side. You can call Zionism “settler colonial,” but the actual borders and legitimacy came from a UN vote, not just Herzl or Britain.

and it's actually so mind blowing to me cause wtf do those ppl think the oregon trail was??

the only reason the two states was created is cause those countries didnt want the jews back in their countries cause why couldn't they just create refugee camps and compensate the jews who had lost so much instead of sending them to an unknown land to be ruled by a gov that was put together in basically no time at all?

An international solution that took everyone’s perspective in mind except for the Palestinians themselves 🤔 hmmm. Yes you’re right, it wasn’t just Britain rubber stamping colonialism but most of the western world rubber stamping it. The UN is not some benevolent force

Anonymous replying to -> #1 1w

honestly the UN is literally not even a force at all. the UN is literally made up from the volunteer efforts of countries' governments. If a country doesn't want something to happen they just don't donate and the UN cant make it happen tbh (this is a very rough estimation on how this shit works). Hell, countries can sign some shit the UN puts together and then blatantly ignore it cause the UN doesn't have the power to enforce it 🤷‍♀️

Well that’s what Palestine did and they they fought to protect their land, even though it was awarded over, and they lost. I’m not saying any compromise is perfect. But a return to a two state solution would be miles better than Israel bombing the shit out of Gaza and gobbling it up all themselves

See, when your logic falls apart you start with the ad hominem arguments. I’ve been calmly explaining from the beginning and I still haven’t gotten a sufficient reason why a two state solution wouldn’t work.
