He acted like I should be upset with him, and that made me more upset than the actual thing idk. And again, I had said “you’re a grown up, you can make that decision on your own”

But last night, he said his friend was having his grad party in a town that’s like 1.45 hours from my place. So. It’s not a bad drive, but on top of everything else, it would be a lot of driving this weekend. He asked if I wanted to go, and I was just kinda feeling, idk, hesitant?

Not tht I didn’t want him to go to his friends grad party, and that I didn’t want to, but we haven’t seen each other a lot this semester. And it’ll be harder to see him this summer because I’m working so much and he’s doing his grad program.

And he was like, “is everything okay? That just came out of the blue” and I didn’t know how to just be like, we had plans already to spend time together. Why are you making me choose what you want to do, which is go to his grad party? Which, again, is totally fine. But he acted like there was something wrong with me for just changing the plans to make them simpler

For context, my birthday is during the week so we decided we’d celebrate this weekend. I was gonna go down to his place where this huge antique market is happening, and then he’d come back to me so we could spend the night at my place

And plus, we’d already planned this? But he was asking me “what do you want to do?” And it just put me in a weird position I guess. I want him to go, and I don’t really care, but then I decided “okay how about I just come up for the day and go home that night. It makes way more sense than you doing all of this driving”
