i feel like they’re scared that that’s the best they’ll have it. like thinking even tho it isn’t great, starting over will be worse. i stayed hung up on a guy for years bc i was convinced no one would find me attractive. he gave me the most attention ive ever gotten. we don’t talk anymore, but ive still never been in a relationship, he was the closest ive gotten, so i sorta get it 😭
