frrr like i’m someone who wants to have children in the future and idc if another person doesn’t, that’s their choice… but why does it turn into something threatening against children? if u don’t want them, that’s perfectly fine… but making them seem like they’re abominations is discomforting
Yes sorry I’m half asleep. There are people out there who don’t like cats and dogs, and there are people out there who don’t like children. It just is what it is. Nobody has to like children. Esp women who live their entire lives being pressured to have children, then being shamed when they don’t have children
Also idk how to explain but the whole “this generation hates children” rhetoric is incredibly disingenuous and I feel like it comes from conservatives trying to control women and make them have more kids. You’ll be labeled as a child hater just because you don’t want to be around them or have one
no but if your friend says she can’t go to smth because she has to watch her kid and your reaction is “ugh that little gremlin again?” or you make a face of disgust whenever you see kids out in public yeah thats rude. you can def be rude about disliking kids even if its not to their faces directly.
again i’m talking about telling other adults, at appropriate times, that you don’t like or want children. a LOT of people do have a problem with that and while what you’re suggesting is fine and dandy in theory, the reality is that the pro-kid camp too often will take ANY expressed dislike of children as people hating kids these days
