I graduated at 24 and it was so awkward when people would ask me about my age I felt awful about it for a while because everyone else in my graduating class was 2-3 years younger than me but then I remember all the struggles I went through that set me back and celebrate the fact that I finished at all
i’m 21 soon to be 22 and going into grad school and everyone either treats me like i’m way older than I am (I don’t have that life experience yet babes) or like i’m somehow a pretentious asshole for getting there “so soon” when all my peers are like.. 24 (literally this is just the way my schedule worked out between transfer credits and needing to take summer classes 💔)
seriously 😭 and the same the other way, you took a gap year or two before starting to work or travel or literally just rest? congrats im so happy you got that time! you’re 57 and coming back to college? hooray i’m happy you’re here! people have no chill sometimes like this is a university where we all want to learn, why are we being weird about age
