Explain to me how lifting weights “burns more calories” but doing the math down to bare minimums- 60 RDLs only burns like 12 calories using some 10lbs weights. When my stairs and incline burn 600cal in less then 1.5hours light work.

It’s about the long term. Building muscle will burn more calories by default, with or without exercise. It’s because they need more energy to be maintained than fat does. Versus something like running, where you’re only really burning calories directly from running

also never using weights in workouts is essentially fucking yourself over for aging

cardio burns more calories during the workout but lifting weights builds muscle and the more muscle you have the more calories you burn at rest

well yea 10lb rdls is basically zero resistance even for a beginner because the legs are the strongest part of the body and have a relatively high force capability, untrained and all

And make sure you’re thoroughly stretching before/after. muscle mass is crucial especially as you age and it naturally deteriorates, but stretching will save you from so many injuries long term

that’s your grip strength not your arm strength. def work on that bc the grip usually always gives out before the RDL weight does that’s a common issue

or use lifting straps it helps take the load off the forearm
