I bought the Playtex gloves I saw at my local grocery store in a size small, and they can be a bit tight but imo it’s better to have to put a lil effort into getting them off than for them to be too loose while doing dishes- I don’t want to worry about them coming off. I feel like a cleaning lady with them and I can remove myself from the version of me who hates the texture of food scraps

How do you store the gloves when you’re done? Do you hang them over the sink so they don’t drip?

I like to just put them on the drying rack but I also sometimes put them over the sink if there’s not space!!

Isn’t putting them on the drying rack a big health hazard if you washed dishes that touched raw meat??

If you’re really washing dishes and not just rinsing them off for the dishwasher, the gloves should essentially be sanitized by the washing process. Even if just rinsing, a lil soap on the gloves should make things all good again. We touch raw meat with our hands and then we just wash them and go back to using them as normal 🤷‍♀️

So you’re washing with super hot water then?

You can if you want to, but warm water + soap is good enough for most things, especially if you hit it w a good scrubbing. I’m also personally a fan of dishwashers. I usually take raw-meat-touchers and rinse them immediately and directly place them in the dishwasher, skipping the sitting-in-the-sink phase entirely
