they’re not ready for the “race and gender are social constructs” conversation and they’re making it everyone else’s problem 🙄

My whole family are republicans. They might mention something about the trans community once a month kind of matter of fact, but it doesn’t seem like it occupies that much of their mind outside of passing thoughts.

I reject the premise of the label. If someone is saying black as an example they’re prob white, which black and white is just a stark obviously distinguishable contrast to point out the absurdity. You can be nice to people identifying with that label without thinking what they’re saying makes any sense, the same way you wouldn’t take some white Guy saying he’s black to make sense. Logic has a black dad, is his skin black? No. Culturally genetically sure but we are talking about phenotype
