The arguments against abortion still stand, like god created that cat and that is killing gods creation that he designed for that to happen to so it should be just as bad as killing a kitten. (I don’t believe this)

the reason Christians don’t support abortion is because of Biblical teachings & scripture about how God knew a human baby in the womb & breathed life into humans. so it would be homicide. killing an animal isn’t the same as homicide so they’ll usually defend hunting, meat-based diets, etc. so if i had to guess, she’d probably say it’s perfectly fine. that said, i, as a not religious person, think a cat abortion is the EXACT same as a human abortion.

I mean if she doesn’t like abortion from a biblical standpoint animals are viewed as slightly lesser in most denominations so maybe not?

But also some denominations (like mine) consider a fetus as slightly lesser than a human. But still discourage abortion - so I think we’re back to yes

I mean like, we don’t rlly think about it like that 😭 but like we don’t have problems with slaughtering animals for meat but obviously we wouldn’t slaughter a human for meat. Stuff like that yk

Nah there’s Christian’s that think that animals don’t even have souls. My Catholic friend once explained that they think that animals have souls but the souls die when the animal dies and don’t live on like our own. But I think mostttt people consider animals as lesser when it comes right down to it. Otherwise a burger is the same as cannibalism 🤷‍♀️

1000% and they can be life saving!! Baby cats can get pregnant too young and carrying to term would basically kill them. If the cat isn’t too far along, it’s not uncommon at all for spaying to involve removing fetal kittens

that doesn’t = lesser to me? it’s just the natural life cycle and ecosystem, everything has to eat and if we all felt guilty about it ( even animals) we’d all starve and die off? if anything there are so many animals that are IMO higher beings than us in many ways. I hate that narrative.

I mean there’s a ton of animals that cannibalize too, and ones that have incest after incest. Something being natural doesn’t mean that we consider it to be okay when a human does it. (Abortion should be protected no matter what, that’s aside from this)
