Yep! There was a point in time where I was hyperfixated on Song of the south I wrote a whole sociological analysis on the movie/politics behind the movie. A lot of those stories stem from old African tales that were told to children so they can learn life lessons, which is why it’s often associated with African slaves in America. I think it’s an interesting look into the culture among enslaved African peoples in the south at the time

The kings park psychiatric center is an abandoned insane asylum in the town that my mom and dad grew up in. My grandmother actually worked there when my dad was a kid. I am really into urban exploring and I have been exploring that place ever since I was a child when we would go to visit my grandparents. My aunt got me the book!
