Bruh the entire show was “see how bad this stuff is” tf do u mean 😭 nobody was running around saying I want to be just like rue, Cassie, and Jules when I grow up. The show consistently showed addiction, overdose, death, abuse, extortion, manipulation, etc. They were also adults the entire last season. The point was that the audience grew up with the characters. Those that were in high school when it came out are the age of the characters now

It’s the normalization of showing this stuff being portrayed as something fun and exciting that is a problem. There’s shedding light on an issue, and then there’s a teenage drama about people doing bad things becuz they enjoy it

IMO glorifying these concepts is like every 80s, 90s 00s, and 10s high school movies but people have no issue with those🤷‍♀️. I think they do a far better job of showing the consequences and even exaggerated consequences of these issues.

Not to the extent euphoria has gone. Sure teens in old 80s and 90s movies were smoking and drinking, but it never really went so far and it played a minor part. These movie a were always about something more, like a teen romance or something. The main story was always separate from degeneracy
