I need someone to go to when a crisis happens (which happens all the time with me based on my circumstances). My bestie has expressed that I come to her too often for her to emotionally handle. I’m unable to see a therapist consistently. Advice?

therapist as often as you can, journal, and reach out to other people. smaller crises u can go to a good friend even if u don’t normally share things like that. the bigger personal things are for ppl u trust the most, but if u can build a wider support net that’s good

not sure where you're from but is there a mobile crisis unit in your city? i've moved around a lot and some places i live have 24/7 mental health services that can come to your house to talk to you. where i live now there is a 24 hour crisis center that offers free support and counseling. and this isn't really for crisis support but general support, but look for mental health group meetings around you.

Is there a certain type of occupation I should be talking to? Like a specific therapist or social worker, etc?

therapists are usually who you go to to talk, learn healthy coping skills, work through your problems etc. you can see a social worker too though. and then psychiatrists are the ones who prescribe medication
