I just saw a thing that was like “if your man drinks coffee and you drink tea then you shouldn’t force yourself to like what he likes” and obviously?? Is this not common knowledge?? Is there a metaphor here that I’m missing

It just reminds me of that consent video where you use tea as a metaphor for sex but idk if that’s what they meant

Some people lack common sense so I fear it’s not common knowledge

My husband loves coffee. I despise coffee. I will steal his cup when I need to take my meds but that’s about it (when he makes tea for himself however, he has actually made tea for both of us)

Actually that reminds me of a funny thing that happened when me and his brother were visiting his aunt and cousins. He went to the kitchen and got a huge cup and filled it up with sweet tea and his aunt raised an eyebrow at him and he just said “you’ll understand soon” and then he sat down. Within seconds of him sitting down, I had taken it to get a sip, his brother walked over a few minutes later and took a drink. His cousin walked past and took it to drink as she walked around, returning it on

Her way back. When his other cousin came in the room, he took it and finished drinking it and I went and refilled it for the cycle to start again.

I miss all of them, I’ll ask if we can visit when I’m home for spring break
