i didn’t encounter that at my appointment or even felt pressured to get one last year when they mentioned it. i’m sorry that was your experience. my doctor was great but it did take me a little bit to find the right doctor for me (at the same place). i hope you find a doctor that has the right personality for you :)
when i got my vitals check by the nurse i asked if i was getting i asked if i would be getting a pap smear and if it was covered under my insurance. she said only if i would like to get one done and if not we can wait till im comfortable. i told i was and would like to get it done today. she said she would let the doctor know. when the doctor came in she just asked me questions and then asked again if i was sure i was comfortable abt getting one. i confirmed and then she explained the steps,
she then showed me everything, and explained with the tools. then i got into the position, she told me what step and what she was doing and did it. once it was done she did wtv else and also explained that im the future that it will be a little faster if i dont want them to explain it. overall great experience and she even told me to take a pain killer bc some ppl cramp after
