I went through the same thing. I was hooking up with this guy for like 2 years and then found out he is very right and a trump supporter and I am the opposite. He was not open to listening to any other views and completely brushed off my feelings. It’s better to have the conversation before you get in deeper. I doesn’t matter how he feels as long as he is understanding, open minded, and respectful of you.

Like I know he’s not a mega-trump-y-frumple-gang-cult-member but I think he might’ve voted for trump. Which would be upsetting but I love him too much to leave him over just that. I think our views are mostly the same, he’s just more right and I’m more left leaning
