Centuries of misogyny, religious indoctrination, and patriarchal ruling will do that I’m afraid. The disdain for women in power runs very very deep and it’s so sad. Hell people today still view some female leaders more harshly than their male counterparts because of it 🥲 (like Wu Zetian. Highly recommend looking into her she’s so fucking badass)
